Water Well, Democratic Republic of Congo

  • Democratic Republic of Congo (map)

In November 2011-March 2012, the JD Sheth Foundation raised money to build a water well in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). The DRC is one of the poorest and most dangerous countries in the world and lack of accessibility to water sources make it even more difficult for its people. Women and children walk hours daily just to find water which can make them sick. We need water to sustain life and clean water to prevent disease and promote proper hygiene. This project moved us to make a difference in a village of 250 people who received our donated well. The greatest need at that time was in the DRC and we were happy to support this country.
