Beautify the Block is a JD Sheth initiative to revitalize the city blocks in which we build homes as part of our Affordable Housing for All Program. Our goal is to not just build homes, but to build a sense of community where everyone can thrive. JD Sheth will be doing infrastructure upgrades to owner-occupied houses solely on the blocks of our newly constructed homes. These upgrades may include things such as repairs to fencing, porches, steps, roofs, windows, and doors. We will also consider tree trimming, landscaping upgrades, and ramp installation. The remodeling projects for the current initiative have already been selected and will be completed in 2024.

We were recently awarded a $25,000 grant from the Evansville Endowment Fund, a supporting organization of the Community Foundation Alliance. Funding is focused on capital projects for nonprofits serving within the City of Evansville. The Fund originated in 1994 when former Mayor Frank McDonald II proposed that $5 million of revenue from the gaming boat be invested in a way that would serve the City of Evansville forever.
