JD Sheth partnered with Amani Partners Kenya to build a kitchen and dining hall for their Green Hill Academy school. This was part of a bigger project that also included additional classrooms and office space. As part of our project, we also funded a new, efficient wood burning stove for the kitchen that cuts their fuel usage by half, a solar-powered water heater to further reduce the need for firewood, and a water filtration system to provide safe drinking water to the children and teachers. At the time this project was started, this school served 68 students. The additional classroom space and dining hall allows for the school to serve an additional 30 students.
