Haiti Medical Mission and Earthquake Relief

In 2010, an earthquake struck Haiti and devastated much of the country and its people. Haiti is the poorest country in the western hemisphere and the conditions before and after the earthquake were difficult to experience. Jaimie Sheth volunteered to fly there and helped provide disaster relief, medical assistance, and supplies for several earthquake victims at an established field clinic ten months after the earthquake. She was saddened by the stagnant recovery in infrastructure, the dangerous conditions many of the Haitian people live in, and the lack of government assistance. Haiti is a beautiful country and its amazing people shine bright even through such poverty.
